always ahead of the curve
Built in 1951, The Nevada was one of the first beachfront motor motels in Maine. As local owners, we totally restored the property in 2024 — keeping the same curvy structure, but adding modern comforts and good vibes unlike any other.
We donate a portion of each booking to Giving Green, a research-based approach to fighting the climate crisis. Plus, as a member of the local Green Alliance, we follow sustainable business practices — and we’re always working to improve.
Beach Front Row Rooms
1951 architecture meets 2024 comfort. Each and every room at The Nevada has bright windows, a king-sized bed, luxurious modern bathrooms, and a dedicated deck with ocean views of Long Sands Beach.
long sands grassroots
Couple-owners Joe and Michelle and their couple-partners Chris and Liz have lived in York full-time for over 40 years, and wanted to make sure the historic property was properly preserved with local ownership. Along with their team, they raised the building frame out of the flood zone and kept the same curvy design while entirely restoring everything else.
Maine, but tropical
Lulu's is the new modern tiki bar and pan-tropical restaurant at The Nevada, named after the owner's daughter who happens to run the place.
