Infants or toddlers below the age of 4 do not count towards our maximum occupancy. This means that two (2) total older children or adults may stay in the same room as one (1) infant or toddler — making the occupancy three (3). Older children count towards the maximum occupancy. We do not have cribs, pack n' plays, cots, or rollaway beds available on the property.
The Nevada is situated on Long Sands Beach, meaning many of our rooms have ocean views. While our garden-facing rooms do not have direct ocean views, they may have partial ocean views from inside, and certainly have ocean views from their outdoor seating areas.
Yes! The Nevada is located directly on Long Sands Beach in York, Maine. Long Sands is 1.5 miles long and one of the seacoast region's best sandy beaches.
While we only have 20 total guest rooms and recommend booking in-advance to lock-in your spot, you can book at anytime before midnight on the day of arrival. If the front desk is closed, you can check-in using the touchscreen kiosk on the ground floor — all you need is your last name and confirmation number.
The Nevada is a locally-owned, independent property and does not have someone on-site 24/7. However, our innkeeper nearby is reachable via our after-hours urgent requests line, should you need any assistance that cannot wait until the morning when the front desk opens.
If you've lost your room key, go to the touchscreen check-in kiosk on the ground floor and select "GET ROOM KEY." You'll need to enter your last name and confirmation number to make a new key.

Smoking is not permitted in any of our decks, inside the rooms, or anywhere on the premises. If you are found to have smoked inside your room, your card may be charged on file to cover cleaning or replacement expenses.
Each room has an automatic pour-over coffee maker, electric kettle, hair dryer, clothing steamer, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash), two warm blankets for sitting outside, mini-refrigerator with small freezer, small hanging area for clothing, bedside tables, bedside outlets, and rain and wand shower.
The maximum occupancy of each room is a total of two (2) people. Infants or toddlers below the age of 4 are not counted towards this maximum occupancy. However, we do not have cots, rollaway beds, or cribs. You can rent a crib or pack n' play with BabyQuip ahead of time!
The key difference is the view! Our Glass Corner Rooms which are located the closest to the ocean on each floor, and Ocean Facing Rooms have the best views. Our Garden Facing Rooms do not have direct ocean views, and are a bit smaller than our other room types, but their balconies overlook the ocean!
Your key card can be left in your room upon check-out, or you can stop by the front desk to say goodbye!
The lead guest checking-in must be 21 years of age or older.
Due to the small and independent nature of our property, we cannot always accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs — especially during our peak season. However, we’ll text you if your room is ready ahead of schedule. If you’d like an early check-in or late check-out, you can reach out to us, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!
Yes! You can purchase an e-gift card for The Nevada to be used for stays booked directly through our website. Just go to the menu on our website and select "GIFT CARDS" to purchase.
A deposit equal to one-night of your stay is charged at the time of booking. The rest of your balance will be paid upon check-in. Our non-refundable pre-pay rate charges the full amount at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-cancellable.
The Nevada does not have a gym or fitness studio, and access to the fitness studio at our sister property The Viewpoint is not permitted for guests of The Nevada.
The Nevada does not have a pool on the property, as we have sandy beach access with the most desirable part of Long Sands Beach just across the street. However, if you prefer swimming in a pool, our sister property The Viewpoint offers a limited amount of pool passes for $35 on days they are not hosting private events.
The best way to save on your stay is using our non-refundable, pre-paid rate and booking directly through our website. This will always be the lowest rate at the time of booking which gives you 10 percent off our best available rate. Please note: We use dynamic pricing, which means our rates change on a daily basis depending on our occupancy and demand.
For sure! You can leave your luggage for as long as you need on the day of your check-out. However, parking may not be available due to the limited nature of parking at the beach. Please chat with the front desk or give us a text.
If it is an emergency, please call 911. If you need to urgently connect with someone from our team outside of office hours and it cannot wait until morning, please call our number 1 207 351 9959 and dial 9. Otherwise, we're always available via text and will respond between the hours of 8AM-8PM.
Absolutely! All three of our properties — The Nevada, Stones Throw, and The Viewpoint — can host private events including room blocks, depending on your needs. Please inquire with our events team at functions@cranehotels.com.

Our restaurant, Lulu's, is located on the street level and is open seasonally. Please check lulusmaine.com for the current hours and our planned future hours. Our sister restaurant, Stones Throw, is just 300 feet away and open year-round with the exception of a winter break. Other year-round dining options are a short drive away (several within 5 minutes, dozens of premium restaurants within 15 minutes) — we include a curated list in your check-in information!
The Nevada is literally just across the street from Long Sands Beach — a few steps.
Each rooms comes with premium hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Every room has at least one seating area indoors (some with folding table and chairs, some with stationary table and chairs), and a seating area outdoors on a dedicated part of the terrace or balcony.
All rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor have two-night stay minimums during our peak season — in July, August, and September.
A facilities fee for The Nevada is only charged during our peak season, which includes use of our peak season amenities including: Beach chair borrowing, beach umbrella borrowing, beach towel borrowing, 50% off Nubble Lighthouse yoga at The Viewpoint, discounts at Long Sands Surf School, outdoor rinse-off shower for after the beach, filtered water bottle refill station, snacks in the check-in lounge, complimentary prosecco and more.
While the check-in lounge is open daily, some guests arrive after those hours or prefer a contactless check-in. A kiosk is available 24/7 for contactless check-in — on the ground floor by the elevator.
No worries! The Nevada has a contactless check-in kiosk available 24/7. The kiosk allows you to check-in and get your key card using only your last name and confirmation number. If you know you'll be arriving late, please text, call, or email us — and we can send you even more details.
Our front desk has varying hours. During the summer, our front desk is open from 9AM to 7PM daily.
Due to the limited nature of parking at the beach, we can only offer one parking spot per room booked. If you'd like to park a second car during the day or overnight, please let us know at the front desk — if there is space for your car, an additional fee per car, per night will be applied to your room charges.

Yes! Two rooms at The Nevada are ADA-compliant: The Third Floor Glass Corner Room and the First Floor Ocean Facing Room. Our building is accessible via ramps, and we have an elevator that services all floors.
Yes! Lulu's is a modern tiki bar and pan-tropical restaurant at The Nevada Hotel — open seasonally. Please check their website for their current and planned future opening hours. Our sister restaurant nearby (Stones Throw) is open year-round, with the exception of a month-long break between February and March. There are plenty of restaurants open year-round within a short drive, too, and we have insider recommendations just for our guests.
The Nevada is a completely pet-free property. We do not allow pets inside or on hotel or restaurant property. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, certified service dogs that have been trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability are permitted. Emotional support animals do not fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Our check-in lounge doubles as a co-working space! We have ample outlets, fast wi-fi, a filtered water fountain, and snacks — so you can work fast, in-between relaxation.
Air conditioning and heat controls are available in every room. When we restored this 1950s property, we installed energy efficient heat and cooling systems to bring it into the 21st century.
Our on-property restaurant Lulu's offers breakfast only on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) during our high season. Our sister restaurant 1.5 miles aw, A Little Auk, serves breakfast Sunday through Friday during the high season — it's just a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk away with plentiful parking. While we don’t always serve breakfast at the hotel, we share an insiders guide to the best breakfast, bagel, and coffee spots around! We do serve coffee, organic teas, pastres, and juices in the check-in lounge, as well.
We're a small, locally-owned and family-run business — cancellations can impact us significantly. Please note that changes or cancellations to reservations must be made directly through the party you booked. For a full refund of your deposit, 30+ days notice is required. For a refund of your deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee, 14-29 days notice. Deposit is non-refundable less than 14 days before your stay. Pre-paid rates is non-refundable. No refund is provided for late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or weather-related cancellations.
Daily housekeeping is complimentary and provided on a per request basis. Just use the indicator we've placed in your room to let us know you'd like your room cleaned and we'll do the rest. Are you a big coffee drinker or love our signature lotion scent? Let us know, and we'll make sure to bring you everything you need, like extra coffee or toiletries.
